A movie instead of a long series
Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro, Kiki’s Delivery Service and Ponyo provide feature-length starting points. Their settings and stories differ, so read the premise rather than treating “anime” as a single mood. The Japanese-animation collection includes these films alongside series.
